Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Live-in Caregiver to provide exceptional in-home care for clients in Yorkton. This role involves supporting individuals with various needs, including seniors, those with disabilities, or individuals requiring hospice or dementia care. Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Provide medication administration and monitor health conditions as prescribed
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary needs and preferences
- Perform light housekeeping tasks including cleaning and laundry to maintain a clean living space
- Support clients with mobility and transfers, including heavy lifting when necessary
- Engage clients in meaningful activities to promote mental and emotional well-being
- Monitor for signs of health deterioration or emergencies and respond appropriately
- Maintain detailed documentation of care provided and any changes in condition
- Collaborate with family members, healthcare professionals, and other caregivers to ensure comprehensive support
Requirements
- Prior experience in assisted living, nursing home, home care, or hospice care is highly desirable
- Strong background in senior care, dementia care, or working with individuals with disabilities
- Compassionate attitude with excellent patient care skills
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and assist with mobility needs safely
- Experience with medication administration and basic nursing tasks
- Capable of meal preparation tailored to specific dietary restrictions or preferences
- Reliable and responsible with a flexible approach to caregiving duties
- Ability to work independently while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality
- Valid driver’s license is preferred but not mandatory
