Registered Dental Hygienist
Gateway Dental is a busy, privately owned dental clinic in Lac La Biche, Alberta. We are seeking a kind, dependable and clinically thorough Registered Dental Hygienist to join our established team.
We have a strong patient base and an immediate need for additional hygiene availability. The position can be structured around 3-5 dependable days per week, with part-time or full-time hours available. We are open to discussing a schedule that provides consistency for the clinic while respecting the flexibility valued by the right candidate.
Compensation and benefits
$65–$68 per hour, based on experience and schedule commitment
6% vacation pay added to each paycheque
$250 annual uniform allowance
$60 monthly wellness allowance
Flexible 2–4 day schedule
No evenings or weekends
Established and consistently busy patient base
Support from an experienced administrative, assisting and sterilization team
Relocation or temporary accommodation assistance may be available for the right long-term candidate
Responsibilities
Perform comprehensive periodontal and oral-health assessments
Provide scaling, root planing, periodontal maintenance and preventive care
Take appropriate dental radiographs
Educate patients about oral hygiene, periodontal health and disease prevention
Maintain accurate and complete clinical records
Communicate findings and treatment recommendations clearly with the dentists and clinical team
Help create a calm, respectful and positive experience for every patient
Follow infection-prevention, sterilization and professional practice standards
Qualifications
Registered, or eligible for registration, as a Dental Hygienist in Alberta
Current CPR certification
Professional liability insurance
Strong periodontal assessment and instrumentation skills
Reliable, organized and able to manage a productive clinical schedule
Professional, compassionate communication with patients
Comfortable working collaboratively with dentists, assistants, sterilization staff and administration
Experienced hygienists and newly licensed graduates are welcome to apply.
