Reports To: Head Cook
Schedule: 1 PM - 7:30 PM (6 hours paid) Monday through Friday

Position Summary:
The Dishwasher is responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and sanitation of dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and pans. This role plays a vital part in maintaining the smooth operation of the kitchen and ensuring a hygienic environment. The Dishwasher will also assist with other cleaning tasks and support the food and beverage staff as needed.
Key Responsibilities:

Dishwashing:

Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, or pans using dishwashers or by hand.

Load and unload the dishwasher with appropriate supplies and clean dishes efficiently.

Ensure all dishes are cleaned to a high standard and inspect items for cleanliness.

Sanitation:

Maintain a clean and organized dishwashing area.

Follow all health and safety guidelines and ensure proper sanitation of dishwashing equipment.

Handle and store cleaning products and chemicals according to safety guidelines.

Waste Management:

Dispose of garbage regularly and maintain cleanliness of trash areas.

Sort and remove trash, placing it in designated pick-up areas.

Kitchen Assistance:

Assist kitchen staff with food preparation when necessary.

Help with the cleaning of kitchen equipment and surfaces.

Ensure the kitchen is stocked with clean dishes and utensils at all times.

Maintenance:

Regularly check and maintain dishwashing machinery and report any malfunctions or needed repairs.

Perform routine cleaning and maintenance tasks as assigned by the Kitchen Manager.
Qualifications:

Experience:
-
Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not required.

Knowledge of kitchen health and safety regulations is a plus.
