Don Wheaton Service Department is looking to hire a new certified technician to expand our team of professionals. The individual in this position will be responsible for the actual service and/or repair of vehicles assigned to them.
This is a flat rate paid position and as a member of the Wheaton Group, we offer additional benefits and RRSP matching. We are a GM certified dealership but work regularly with all makes and models as well. We have a long history in Edmonton with a customer base reaching across all of Alberta.
A successful candidate must have exceptional communication skills, computer knowledge, excellent work ethic, motivated to be successful and the ability to work with a team and individually. This individual will be responsible for a wide array of duties to help keep a vehicle operational. This includes but is not limited to changing oil, rotating tires, repairing engines, replacing spark plugs, air filters, and brake pads.
In the chosen candidate we will be looking for the following:
· 4 years of automotive service experience
· GM Dealership experience (Preferred) and willing to pay more for experienced GM technicians
· Legally eligible to work in Canada
· Valid driver's license
· Must be able to supply your own complete set of technician hand tools and impact wrenches
· Clean drivers abstract
· Must be dependable, highly motivated, and available to meet the demands of the position
· Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds independently
