We are seeking a reliable, physically fit, and customer-focused Delivery Driver to transport and deliver commercial restaurant equipment safely and efficiently. The ideal candidate will ensure deliveries are completed on time, equipment is handled with care, and customers receive excellent service during every delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Load, transport, and unload commercial kitchen equipment safely.
- Deliver equipment to customer locations throughout Alberta and other provinces as required.
- Inspect equipment before loading and after delivery to ensure it is in good condition.
- Assist with uncrating, positioning, and setting equipment in designated locations when required.
- Secure loads properly to prevent damage during transportation.
- Complete delivery paperwork, obtain customer signatures, and maintain accurate delivery records.
- Perform daily vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues.
- Follow all traffic laws, company safety procedures, and workplace regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, warehouse staff, installers, and customers regarding delivery schedules.
- Maintain a clean and professional appearance while representing the company.
Qualifications
- Valid Class 5 driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Previous delivery or moving experience is an asset.
- Experience handling commercial kitchen or heavy equipment is preferred but not mandatory.
- Ability to safely lift up to 100 lbs (45 kg) and move heavy equipment using dollies, pallet jacks, lift gates, and other material handling equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ownership of a pickup truck, Van/Box truck will be considered a strong asset.
- Candidates with access to their own delivery vehicle may be given preference for certain delivery assignments.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift, push, pull, and move heavy equipment throughout the workday.
- Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
