Nurse Practitioner (NP) – Pediatrics/Adults & Primary Care
Pediatric Urgent Care (“PUC”) is seeking a dedicated and motivated Nurse Practitioner to join our growing multidisciplinary healthcare organization serving communities across the Greater Toronto Area. PUC operates multiple busy outpatient clinics providing pediatric urgent care, primary care, and specialty pediatric services in a collaborative and supportive clinical environment.
The Nurse Practitioner will provide comprehensive healthcare services, including pediatric/adult and family primary care, routine wellness visits, sick visits, follow-up care, health promotion, preventive medicine, and patient education. The successful candidate will assess, diagnose, order and interpret diagnostic investigations, prescribe medications within scope of practice, and manage acute and chronic medical conditions in accordance with Ontario standards and evidence-based practice. The role will include seeing both scheduled routine patients and same-day urgent/sick visits.
This position is structured as an independent contractor arrangement with an expected commitment of approximately 35–40 hours weekly. The Nurse Practitioner may work across multiple PUC clinic locations and must be available to participate in evening and weekend clinical coverage schedules as operationally required.
PUC offers a highly supportive practice environment and will provide all clinic overhead expenses, including clinics/staff, medical supplies, administrative staffing support, scheduling, infrastructure support, EMR access, IT support, and clinic operations management.
Compensation for in-clinic services will range between CAD $80–$120 per hour, depending on experience, qualifications, scheduling flexibility, and scope of services provided.
In addition, PUC is expanding its Mobile Medicine Program for pediatric/adult and community-based healthcare services. Nurse Practitioners participating in mobile medical visits, including home-based patient assessments and care, will be compensated at CAD $150 per hour, inclusive of transportation and travel-related costs. Mobile care services may include pediatric/adult assessments or sick visits, elderly care visits, follow-up care, preventive assessments, immunizations, and chronic disease management.
Qualifications include current registration in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario as a Nurse Practitioner, active professional liability coverage, strong communication and clinical assessment skills, and experience in pediatric/adult, family medicine, urgent care, or community healthcare settings.
PUC offers an excellent opportunity to join one of Ontario’s largest multi-site pediatric outpatient organizations with a collaborative healthcare team, flexible scheduling opportunities, and a growing innovative healthcare platform focused on improving access to care for children and families across Ontario.
