Located just minutes from downtown Calgary, The Winston Golf Club is an established semi-private facility with a proud history and an exciting future. The outside Services team is seeking Backshop Attendants who are passionate about delivering exceptional service to our members and guests.
Position Overview
The Backshop Attendants plays a key role in creating a memorable and seamless golf experience. This position supports daily golf operations, ensures high-quality service standards, and contributes to maintaining a clean, organized, and welcoming environment for all members and guests.
Key Responsibilities
· Greet and interact with members and guests in a warm, welcoming, and professional manner
· Maintain a high standard of facility cleanliness in all outside service areas
· Demonstrate strong oral, reading, and writing communication skills
· Provide excellent interpersonal communication and problem-solving abilities
· Multitask effectively with minimal supervision
· Uphold a positive, professional attitude, demeanor, and appearance at all times
· Work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
· Load and unload golf clubs for members and guests
· Clean, stock, stage, and park golf carts
· Clean, organize, and store member’s golf clubs
· Assist the Golf Shop team with set-up/tear down for tournaments and special events
· Carry out all practice-facility tasks, including:
o Picking range balls, wash golf balls and refill range ball bins, maintain the overall cleanliness and appearance of the practice facilities.
· Perform shuttle duties for golfers
Qualifications & Requirements
· Friendly, professional, and service-oriented attitude
· Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
· Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and being on your feet for extended periods
· Comfort operating golf carts and equipment (training provided). Drivers license is required.
· Reliable, punctual, and committed to delivering exceptional service
· Previous golf course, customer service, or hospitality experience is an asset but not required
· Access to Club training app on personal phone
