Duties include greet and serve guests, prepare product, maintain food safety and sanitation standards, and handle or process light paperwork. Exceptional guest service is a major component of this position. Sandwich Artists™ utilize a Point of Sale/Cash Register to record orders and make change. Food preparation and safety, maintaining a clean restaurant and image, and adhering to all Subway® standards as outlined in the Subway® Operations Manual: Daily Procedures are among some key tasks and responsibilities.

This role offers an opportunity to develop skills in food preparation, food safety, and customer interaction within a fast-paced restaurant setting. Previous experience in food service or the food industry is a plus but not required, as training will be provided.
Duties
- Prepare and assemble sandwiches according to Subway standards, ensuring quality and freshness
- Greet customers warmly and assist with their orders using the Micros POS system or similar cash register tools
- Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently, including cash handling and cashiering responsibilities
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the work area, including kitchen surfaces, utensils, and equipment in compliance with food safety standards
- Manage time effectively to serve customers promptly during busy periods
- Upsell menu items to enhance customer experience and increase sales opportunities
- Follow all food handling protocols to ensure safety and hygiene standards are met
- Restock supplies as needed and assist in kitchen operations when required
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or food industry is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor
- Basic math skills for cash handling and order accuracy
- Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Good time management skills to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Experience with POS systems such as Micros POS is a plus
- Kitchen or food preparation experience is advantageous but not essential
- Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours including weekends if needed
