Job Summary
Seeking an apprentice carpenter to join our team. We are a growing company that offers lots of room for advancement. You will have the opportunity to work on a variety of different tasks and learn all aspects of the trade. Work could include roofing, framing, siding, deck building, renovations, interior and exterior finishing and more.
Qualifications
- Carpentry and/or construction experience an asset
- Strong problem solving skills and attention to detail
- Physical stamina and strength to perform manual labor tasks effectively
- Good communication skills to collaborate with team members and clients
- Valid driver's license required
- Must be comfortable with heights
Responsibilities
- Utilize power tools safely and effectively for various carpentry tasks.
- Measure, cut and haul materials.
- Understand directions and execute tasks.
- Estimate materials needed for projects.
- Read blueprints, drawings and sketches to understand work requirements.
- Be able to work as a team or independently with minimal supervision.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
Wage will be based on experience. Willing to train motivated candidates.
