WE ARE HIRING "Planning & Support Manager, Vehicle Operations"
Position Summary
The Planning & Support Manager is responsible for leading wholesale vehicle logistics planning and operational control across ports, rail, trucking, compounds, and customer distribution. The position develops and maintains operational reporting and KPIs, coordinates cross-functional and customer meetings, supports continuous process improvement, and ensures effective communication, issue resolution, and customer satisfaction across the vehicle logistics network.
Responsibilities
- Lead wholesale operations planning and control across finished vehicle logistics, including port, rail, trucking, compound, and customer wholesale flow.
- Convert customer wholesale forecasts and volume plans into operational execution plans, including daily, weekly, and monthly targets.
- Monitor wholesale progress versus BP, OP, forecast, and customer requirements, and identify risks, delays, or gaps in execution.
- Develop, maintain, and standardize key operational reports, dashboards, and KPI tools to improve visibility across the vehicle logistics network.
- Provide operational direction and recommendations to execution teams based on forecast, inventory, capacity, and performance analysis.
- Coordinate regular internal and external meetings related to wholesale planning, execution progress, customer requirements, and operational issue resolution.
- Manage meeting agendas, action items, follow-up status, and escalation items to ensure timely resolution and clear ownership.
- Establish and maintain customer ground rules, reporting standards, and communication routines for wholesale operation management.
- Analyze operational constraints, capacity risks, and performance trends across ports, rail carriers, trucking vendors, compounds, and customers.
- Support customer-specific planning and reporting for HAC and KCA, ensuring each customer’s wholesale targets, priorities, and operational requirements are clearly managed.
- Support process improvement and standardization initiatives within Vehicle Operations, including reporting format, meeting structure, KPI definitions, and data management practices.
- Provide ad hoc analysis and reporting to support strategic, operational, customer, and executive requests.
Experience / Education / Certification / Knowledge
Job Requirements:
- Professional proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and data visualization/reporting tools, including Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI, Outlook, and Word.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience interpreting logistics, supply chain, financial, or operational data.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while coordinating effectively with cross-functional teams and external business partners.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to present operational updates and performance metrics to customers and leadership.
- Working knowledge of vehicle logistics, transportation operations, automotive supply chains, or related logistics environments.
- Demonstrated attention to detail with a high level of accuracy in data management, reporting, and operational documentation.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines and adapt to changing business priorities.
- Customer-focused mindset with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience with continuous improvement initiatives and process optimization is considered an asset.
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a collaborative team environment.
