Overview
We are seeking a new team member who is up for the challenge of handling 20 or more customers at a time. We require our servers to offer our customers a great experience as if they are the guests at a party in our home. Thus, serving experience and effective communication skills are paramount. We expect our serving staff to be well-versed behind the bar and having a Serving It Right certificate is required.
Responsibilities
- Guiding customers through our diverse menu accurately and patiently
- Serve and prepare a variety of beverages, including cocktails, beers, and wines
- Take orders and process payments accurately
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area
- Check identification to ensure legal drinking age
- Collaborate with the kitchen staff to ensure timely service
Experience
- Proven experience (at least a year in Canada) in serving and/or bartending
- Knowledge of Italian dishes and ingredients is a bonus
- Familiarity with cash handling and payment procedures
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to maintain calm and collected in the face of stressful situations
