Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Administrator to manage and oversee the payroll processes within our organization. The ideal candidate will ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll, maintain compliance with relevant regulations, and support human resources functions related to employee compensation. Proficiency with various payroll and accounting software is essential to succeed in this role, which plays a critical part in maintaining employee satisfaction and organizational efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Process payroll accurately and efficiently using platforms such as Workday, ADP, or similar HRIS and accounting software.
- Manage data entry related to employee hours, wages, deductions, and benefits to ensure precise payroll calculations.
- Reconcile accounts related to payroll transactions, including accounts payable and receivable.
- Maintain and update employee records within HRIS systems, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.
- Assist with account reconciliation activities to verify accuracy of payroll data and financial records.
- Support human resources functions by providing payroll-related reports and analysis as needed.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations.
- Collaborate with accounting teams for bookkeeping tasks related to payroll expenses.
- Prepare reports for management regarding payroll costs, trends, and discrepancies.
Experience
- Proven experience working with payroll systems such as Workday, ADP, or similar platforms.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles including accounts payable/receivable and account reconciliation.
- Familiarity with accounting software and tools
- Prior experience in human resources functions related to payroll processing is preferred.
- Demonstrated analytical skills for data analysis and problem-solving within payroll operations.
