Overview
RKS Hotel Group is looking for a Sales Manager to join our Four Points by Sheraton, Edmonton South.
We are looking for a self-driven sales leader who will focus on building long-term, value-based customer relationships that will enable the achievement of sales objectives.
A detailed job description will be prepared and given to the successful candidate with four weeks of hiring.
Essential Functions:
- Conduct a successful, aggressive solicitation process involving outside sales calls, inside-in-house appointments, telephone calls, direct mail per company guideline.
- Cultivating lead sources of sales, through direct sale calls, weekly visits to companies within the hotel territory and follow up calls. Identify companies for cold calling to secure their business.
- Ensure the RFP proposals on all leads which fit into the profile of the property and actively follow through to convert from tentative to definite status.
- Review the STAR Report and work with the Marriott Revenue Manager with the guidance of the General Manager.
- Develop strong partnerships with local organizations to further increase property awareness.
- Research the comp set to identify ways to grow occupancy and increase market share.
- Participate in trade shows and community events to promote and secure business.
- Prepare the operational aspects of business booked, via generating proposals, writing contract and customer correspondence.
- Achieving monthly room revenue and monthly top line revenue goals and increasing the market share of the hotel.
Ideal Candidate for this position must have:
Proven previous hotel sales experience including outside/direct sales experience.
Be well organized and have strong client follow up.
Have fully functional computer skills including experience with Excel, Word and Power Point.
Must have knowledge of Marriot sales Platforms.
A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required to meet with clients.
High school is required. College education is preferred.
Must have prior experience as Sales Manager is required.
Marriott Brand experience is preferable.
Pay: $55,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
