Laundry Assistant (Part-Time & Full-Time Opportunities)
Our employer partner in the Senior Living and Retirement Residence sector is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Laundry Assistant to join their team. This role is responsible for providing laundry services that support the comfort, dignity, and well-being of residents while maintaining high standards of cleanliness, infection prevention, and customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Wash, dry, fold, and distribute resident linens and personal laundry.
- Follow established laundry procedures, schedules, and garment care instructions.
- Maintain accurate records and communicate resident service needs to the team.
- Adhere to infection prevention, health and safety, and quality standards.
- Assist with issue resolution and provide excellent customer service to residents.
- Support laundry and housekeeping operations as required.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in laundry, housekeeping, hospitality, healthcare, or a related environment is an asset.
- Experience working with seniors is preferred.
- Strong communication, organization, and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- CPR/First Aid certification is an asset.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks, including standing, bending, kneeling, and reaching for extended periods.
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends and on-call shifts.
Compensation:
$18.00 – $20.50 per hour, based on experience.
