Hours: Continental Nights (2100 - 0900)
Pay Rate: $21.86/ hr

Job Description:

Access control, property patrols, incident reporting, CCTV and fire panel monitoring, emergency response and customer service

Maintain workflow to ensure that all daily, weekly, and monthly tasks and assignments are completed accurately and on time, and forwarded to management.

Ensuring a safe and effective working environment by properly using all equipment and resources, and maintaining compliance with established health and safety policies and procedures.

Initiating and fostering a spirit of cooperation within and between departments
-
Supervise and administer on-site guards while performing other assigned duties
-
Work closely with staff and take direction from management and the CSM
-
Provide ongoing support to staff on security-related issues
-
Respond to calls for service and security incidents; perform operational duties as assigned

Attend required staff meetings
-
Train security staff; ensure training checklists are completed and submitted

Maintain and organize training, application, disciplinary, and license records; provide upon request
Prerequisites:
-
Valid Ontario Security Guard license
-
Valid Ontario First Aid and CPR Level C from a WSIB-Approved Provider
-
Ontario Secondary School Diploma or equivalent/post-secondary diploma or degree
-
Minimum 1 year security supervisor experience
-
Excellent verbal/written communication skills in English
-
High level of customer service
-
Proficiency with Windows-based software and knowledge of PC-based incident reporting software

Knowledge of access control, CCTV, fire equipment, and fire monitoring systems
-
Knowledge of relevant Federal, Provincial, and Municipal laws and by-laws
-
Position requires the ability to walk/stand/climb stairs for extended periods of time in all weather conditions

Must be able to provide certifications in Use of Force (UOF) and Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB)
-
Applicants lacking these certifications can opt into Paladin's UoF/MOAB certification program prior to their onboarding training to ensure they meet the requirements of the position

Please be aware: The UoF/MOAB certification is not paid as it is a pre-requisite; however, Paladin will cover all of the costs of the training with a 6-month commitment to the position/availability
