PowerSports Senior Mechanic
Our PowerSports Service Department is currently hiring to join our team. We service Kawasaki ATVs, UTVs, motorcycles, and Jet Skis ( We do not work on other OEM products for retail service, only internal), and we are looking for a motivated individual who takes pride in their work, wants to be part of a positive hardworking team and has had previous in service shop experience.
Pay Rate will be based on Experience and knowledge. Ranging From $26/hr to $34/hr
If the right fit wanted/chose seasonal ( wanted winter off Dec-March) we would be open to that conversation.
We are hiring for:
- 1 Senior Technician – an experienced powersports mechanic with strong diagnostic and repair skills.
Compensation:
Pay will be based on experience and knowledge.
We do have ScoreCard bonus monthly ( Personal and Team)- Which usually ranges between $180-$250 monthly additionally after 3 months on the job
Responsibilities and General Technician Duties
- Perform scheduled maintenance, service, diagnostics, and repairs
- Suspension work and general mechanical repairs
- Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDIs)
- Accessory installations
- Fluid and filter changes
Senior Technician Responsibilities
In addition to the duties above, the Senior Technician will also perform more advanced repairs including:
- Clutch repairs
- Valve work
- Drivetrain repairs
- Engine repairs and diagnostics
- We are looking for someone who already has the experience and skills required for these more technical repairs. And has previously worked in a service shop.
Additional Duties
- Yard clean-up and shop organization
- Unloading transports
- Snow shoveling and removal during winter months
- Assisting with general shop projects during slower periods
We do not reduce hours during slower season ( winter), unless a team member specifically requests a shorter schedule.
Work Order & Service Requirements
Technicians are expected to:
- Review work orders and communicate with the service advisor
- Properly clock on and off jobs
- Provide clear diagnostic, cause, and correction notes for service records
- Test and adjust repaired equipment to ensure proper performance and quality fix.
Senior Technician
- Proven technician experience with suspension, drivetrains, engines, diagnostics, and repair
Additional Requirements
- Valid driver’s license
- Motorcycle license (asset)
- Automotive Technician or Motorcycle Technician certification (asset)
- Forklift license (asset – training and certification can be provided)
Schedule
Monday – Friday
8:15 AM – 5:00 PM
2 10 minutes paid breaks, 30 minute unpaid lunch
A criminal background check will be required for the selected candidate.
