Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Mobile Physiotherapist (Contractor) to provide specialized patient care across various settings. This role offers the flexibility to work independently while delivering high-quality physiotherapy services directly to patients in their homes or other designated locations. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for improving patient outcomes through personalized therapy programs. Prior experience in hospital or acute care environments, pediatrics, elderly and familiarity with medical terminology are highly valued.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive physiotherapy assessments for patients across diverse age groups and medical conditions.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient’s needs and goals.
- Deliver hands-on therapy interventions, including manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and mobility training.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment strategies accordingly to optimize recovery.
- Educate patients and their families on injury prevention, rehabilitation exercises, and health maintenance strategies.
- Maintain accurate documentation of assessments, treatment sessions, and progress notes in compliance with healthcare standards.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams, including physicians and nurses, to coordinate patient care plans.
- Travel to various locations in Edmonton as required to provide mobile physiotherapy services efficiently.
Skills
- Proven experience working in hospital settings or acute care environments is preferred.
- Strong background in pediatrics and patient care across different age groups.
- Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to physiotherapy practice.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with patients and their families.
- Ability to work independently with strong organizational skills and time management.
- Flexibility to adapt to different environments and patient needs.
- Valid licensure as a licensed Physiotherapist or equivalent credential in your province.
