Site Resource Group (SRG) is hiring skilled mechanical professionals for long-term work at one of Alberta's top SAGD facilities. With years of planned expansions ahead, this is an opportunity to build a career on meaningful industrial projects with a team committed to safe, quality execution. Mechanical work includes industrial piping installation and fit-up, structural steel installation, welding, equipment setting, testing, turnover, and field coordination or supervision, depending on the role. We are currently seeking qualified candidates for the following roles:

Responsibilities
Mechanical Foremen / Supervisors may be responsible for:

Leading pipefitting, structural steel, mechanical, and welding crews in the safe and efficient execution of field work
-
Coordinating daily work plans, manpower, tools, equipment, materials, permits, and work fronts
-
Reading and interpreting drawings, specifications, work packages, isometrics, and project documentation
-
Supporting piping installation, structural steel erection, equipment setting, fit-up, welding, testing, and turnover activities
-
Working closely with Superintendents, Project Managers, QA/QC, client representatives, and other trades
-
Monitoring productivity, quality, safety, and schedule performance
-
Identifying field issues and helping resolve them quickly and practically
-
Providing visible, hands-on leadership and working directly with crews when needed to get the job done
-
Supporting sustaining and capital work in active operating facilities and new-construction environments
Journeyperson Pipefitters may be responsible for:
-
Performing industrial piping installation, maintenance, fit-up, testing, troubleshooting, and repair work
-
Installing and fitting process piping, valves, supports, spools, flanges, and associated mechanical systems
-
Reading and working from isometrics, drawings, specifications, work packages, and field sketches
-
Supporting hydrotesting, pressure testing, commissioning, deficiency repairs, and turnover requirements
-
Working safely in active operating facilities and new construction environments
-
Coordinating with welders, riggers, scaffolders, and field leadership to complete work safely and efficiently
-
Maintaining quality workmanship, fit-up accuracy, and housekeeping standards
-
Mentoring apprentices and contributing to a strong team environment
Rig Welders may be responsible for:

Performing high-quality rig welding and associated fit-up support for industrial piping, structural steel, and mechanical installation work
-
Working from approved weld procedures, drawings, specifications, and project quality requirements
-
Maintaining welding equipment, consumables, housekeeping, and safe work practices
-
Coordinating with pipefitters, structural steel installers, QA/QC, and field supervision to achieve production and quality targets
-
Supporting weld repairs, testing requirements, deficiency closeout, and turnover activities as required
-
Delivering reliable workmanship that meets project, client, and SRG quality expectations
Mechanical Apprentices may be responsible for:
-
Assisting Journeyperson, Rig Welders, Foremen, and Supervisors with pipefitting, structural steel, and mechanical installation work
-
Supporting material handling, piping and steel installation, fit-up preparation, equipment setting, tool preparation, and general field tasks
-
Learning to read drawings, follow work packages, and understand project requirements
-
Maintaining tools, materials, work areas, and housekeeping standards
-
Following safe work practices and site procedures at all times
Requirements
- Relevant industrial mechanical, pipefitting, or welding experience
-
Valid trade certification, apprenticeship registration, welding qualifications, or relevant technical training based on the role
-
A demonstrated commitment to safe work practices and quality workmanship
-
Ability to read drawings, specifications, isometrics, or work packages as required by the role
-
Strong communication, teamwork, and practical problem-solving skills
-
Valid safety tickets and site-access requirements, where required
-
Ability to work a remote, camp-based 14/7 rotation with 12-hour shifts
-
For leadership roles, proven ability to lead crews, coordinate work, and support field execution
-
Must pass pre-employment drug and alcohol test including cannabis
