Overview:
Boardwalk Entertainment are seeking a skilled Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our team in a bustling family entertainment centre. If you have a passion for cooking and enjoy working in a fast-paced kitchen environment, we want to hear from you.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare ingredients for cooking, including washing, chopping, and storing food items
- Assist with meal preparation under the guidance of the head chef
- Cook dishes following recipes accurately and maintaining high quality
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and adhere to proper food handling procedures
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen work areas
- Collaborate with kitchen team members to ensure efficient service
Requirements:
- Proven experience working in a kitchen environment, preferably as a cook or prep cook
- Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations
- Ability to work well in a team setting and follow instructions
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
- Understanding of basic cooking techniques and methods
