Overview
Benson Cabinetry and Millwork is seeking a dedicated Detailing (Deficiency Service) Technician to join our field team. This position is responsible for maintaining and supporting operational processes at our project sites. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where attention to detail and excellent customer service are valued.

Field Operations Manager / Quality Control Coordinator
Duties
- Identify deficient cabinetry product
- Perform on-site adjustments to installed product such as doors/drawers
- Performing on-site cosmetic repairs to cabinetry components
- Filling chips, dents, and surface damage
- Caulking as required
- Re-graining and blending laminate and veneer repairs
- Touch-up of painted and prefinished products
- Wax, epoxy, and colour-matched repair applications
- Repair minor hardware or alignment issues where required
- Mix and custom match colours to blend repairs seamlessly
- Restore damaged components to a “like-new” appearance
- Interact with company technology platforms (Smartsheet)
- Interact with client-based technology platforms (Pro-core or other)
- Support turnover and inspection readiness
- Coordinate and communicate effectively with: Foremen, Inspectors, Clients & Superintendents, and other trades as necessary
- Maintain professional conduct in all environments
- Maintain jobsite safety standards in compliance with COR requirements
- Adhere to company Work Alone and Safe Driving policies
- Follow all site-specific safety protocols
Skills
- Experience with laminate, veneer, and painted cabinetry systems
- Strong colour-matching and blending ability
- High attention to detail and finish quality
- Perform work quickly and effectively
- Comfortable working independently in active construction environments
- Ability to problem-solve under time pressure
- Strong creative fixing skills
- Valid driver’s license or ability to travel between sites
Qualifying Requirements
- Excellent communication, both verbal and written, in English
- Legally permitted to work in Canada
- Some secondary school education is usually required, post-secondary considered an asset
- Proven ability to track work in a meticulous fashion
- Ideally having worked in furniture finishing for at least one year
- Ability to colour match and work in a precise and detailed manner

Hourly rate: $28 - 32
