We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented General Labourer specializing in Shipping and Receiving to join our warehouse team. This role involves handling various logistics tasks, ensuring efficient movement of goods, and maintaining accurate inventory records. The ideal candidate will have warehouse experience and the ability to operate equipment such as forklifts. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop skills in warehouse distribution, order fulfillment, and e-commerce logistics within a dynamic environment.
The General Labourer is responsible for setting up and operating production equipment, performing a variety of manufacturing and material-handling tasks, and strongly supporting shipping and receiving operations to ensure the safe, accurate, and efficient production and distribution of parts and products.
Duties
- Setting up and operating production machinery
- Inspect parts and products to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.
- Preform shipping, packing and preparing product for shipment by courier.
- Receive incoming shipments, verify quantities and condition of materials, and accurately complete receiving documentation.
- Load, unload, package, label, and prepare outgoing shipments in accordance with customer and carrier requirements.
- Assist with inventory management, cycle counts, and stock organization.
- Using a variety of tools and machines such as forklifts and manual material handling equipment for loading and unloading of trucks and production equipment
- Delivering raw materials to machine operators
- Transporting production parts from one operation to the next
- Providing relevant information regarding progress to supervisors
- Maintaining the shop areas in a clean, safe and organized manner
- Assisting in waste collection, disposal and recycling activities
- Ability to multi-task and manage multiple production schedules
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and perform other duties as assigned
Skills
- Proven experience in warehouse production, shipping & receiving, or related roles
- Ability to operate forklifts, reach trucks, or other warehouse equipment (certification preferred)
- Strong understanding of warehouse distribution processes and order picking procedures
- Basic math skills for counting, measurements, and inventory adjustments
- Experience with order fulfillment, packaging, and load & unload operations
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team
- Self-starter, reliable, time management skills
- Ability to perform physical labour, including lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling materials
- Adaptable to various working conditions such as noise, dirt, damp

Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
