We are looking for a precise and diligent Construction Surveyor to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who wants to take their career to the next level and enjoys all facets of the job, from fieldwork to leveraging technology to seeing a project come together.
Your core responsibilities:

Maintain timely and accurate original ground, stripped ground, progress, and as-built surveys for planning and payment quantities

Compile, organize and model topographic survey data for project volume analysis

Complete accurate daily field notes, sketches, and reports according to job specification

Assure layout, design, GPS data, and documents are correctly organized and stored

Complete precise installation of stake lines and survey control
-
Inspect, operate, and maintain survey equipment, tools, and vehicles
-
Complete Field Level Hazard Assessments before beginning each task
Our ideal candidate has:
-
2-5 years of experience in construction surveying
-
Diploma or post-secondary education in geomatics or civil engineering preferred
-
Above average attention to detail and organization skills
-
Strong time management skills to work in a fast-paced environment
-
Trimble Business Centre and Civil 3D experience would be an asset
-
Knowledge of TIN modeling and surface comparisons for field returns
-
Experience working with Trimble and Topcon survey equipment
-
RPAS Advanced Operations Certification for VLOS operations would be an asset
-
A valid Class 5 Driver's License with a clean driver's abstract
-
ATV operators' license is an asset
-
The ability to crouch, bend, stand, kneel, and lift to 25 pounds regularly

The ability to work independently, problem solve on the fly, and think critically

Must have own vehicle. An allowance will be provided.
