Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Warehouse Shipper and Receiver to join our logistics team. This role is vital in ensuring the accurate and efficient handling of incoming and outgoing shipments, maintaining inventory integrity, and supporting overall warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will have experience in warehouse management, shipping and receiving, and operate various material handling equipment. This position offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on precision, safety, and teamwork.
Western Truck Body Mfg., a subsidiary of Federal Signal, has been a leader in the manufacturing of custom aluminum service truck bodies and accessories for over 60 years.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Receiving incoming shipments and verifying the contents against the purchase orders or packing slips
- Preparing and packaging orders
- Labeling and tracking packages, product, or equipment, using inventory management systems
- Operating forklifts, pallet jacks, or other equipment required to move, stack, or store product
- Inspecting and reporting any damage or discrepancies in shipments, and working with vendors or carriers to resolve issues
- Maintaining organization and accurate inventory levels, shipping/receiving activities, and other data related to the movement of goods
- Ensure parts and equipment are picked in a timely manner for all internal and external orders; maintain forklift safety protocol
- Vehicle management and maintenance
- Creating shipping crates
- Performing snow removal, spreading ice melt, and cutting the grass
- Ensure only authorized staff enter the warehouse area
- Ensuring compliance with safety and security procedures
- Other areas as required
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum of 5 years shipping and receiving experience
- Current Forklift certification with a minimum of 3 years’ experience
- Clean 3 year driver’s abstract

- Fast paced environment, must work under pressure with minimum supervision
- Multi temperature environment
