OVERVIEW
Our client is a well-established engineering consulting firm providing mechanical and electrical design services for a diverse portfolio of institutional, commercial, industrial, healthcare, educational, recreational, and multi-residential projects. They are currently seeking an Electrical Engineering Manager (Buildings/ICI) to provide technical and operational leadership.

Reporting to the Group Manager, the successful candidate will oversee project execution, resource planning, quality assurance, regulatory compliance, and team development while supporting the successful delivery of complex building systems projects.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supervise Electrical design staff, assign technical tasks, provide guidance and feedback, and support professional development.
- Manage all phases of Electrical design projects, including planning, design, budgeting, scheduling, and execution, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Provide technical expertise for design reviews, strategic initiatives, and project execution while establishing departmental design and documentation standards.
- Allocate resources, manage departmental budgets, forecast costs, and support efficient project delivery.
- Prepare proposals, technical reports, and client presentations, while coordinating with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Develop and implement policies, procedures, and best practices to improve operational efficiency, quality, and regulatory compliance.
REQUIREMENTS
· 15+ years’ experience in building systems engineering, preferably for educational, healthcare, offices, municipal infrastructure, and commercial facilities, working with relevant codes including, OBC, NBC, CEC/OESC, ASHRAE 90.1, relevant CSA Standards (C282, Z32, Z317.5, B44, etc.), ULC-S524 and S537
· Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering is required
· Registered as a Professional Engineer in Ontario
· Ability to obtain CAPM or PMP designation
· Proficiency with AutoCAD and MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.). is required; Revit and MicroStation experience are considered assets
· In-depth knowledge of electrical design, project management, budgeting, and resource allocation, with experience leading, mentoring, and developing engineering teams
· Strong leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to understand client objectives, anticipate needs, and contribute to business growth
· Occasional travel within the Sudbury region and surrounding areas
