Our client is looking for an Analyst with strong analytical skills and a solid understanding of both payroll accounting and payroll processing. Working closely with the Director, Accounting, this newly created role will serve as the key link between the Payroll, Finance and IT teams, while partnering with operations to investigate payroll-related inquiries, analyze variances, and provide meaningful recommendations to streamline and automate processes.

Required:
- Diploma or degree in Accounting, or related disciplines

Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) designation is considered an asset

2+ years of experience in payroll processing; experience with Dayforce is considered an asset

2+ years of accounting experience, including posting journal entries and reconciling general ledger accounts

Relevant industry experience, working in a large-scale multi-entity and multi-site location organization is an asset

Knowledge of Canadian payroll legislation, federal and provincial payroll taxes/remittances and payroll audits

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail

Experience working with large datasets to provide payroll analytics using Microsoft Excel analytical skills of extracting key relevant data

Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines

Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with Finance and Operations
