Duties
- Perform professional massage therapy sessions tailored to individual client needs, including Swedish, deep tissue, and other modalities.
- Assess client conditions and discuss treatment goals to customize massage techniques accordingly.
- Maintain a clean and hygienic workspace, adhering to all health and safety standards.
- Keep detailed records of client treatments and progress notes for future reference.
- Educate clients on post-treatment care and recommend appropriate wellness practices.
- Manage appointment schedules efficiently to maximize client flow and satisfaction.
- Uphold confidentiality and professionalism in all client interactions.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology related to anatomy and physiology.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to create a welcoming environment.
- Effective communication skills to clearly explain treatment procedures and address client concerns.
- Ability to listen attentively and adapt treatments based on individual client needs.
- Certification from an accredited massage therapy program is REQUIRED; licensure as per province regulations is required.
