Overview
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Grounds Maintenance Laborer to join our team and assist with a variety of outdoor maintenance projects. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, contributing to the maintenance and enhancement of residential and commercial landscapes. The ideal candidate will have a passion for outdoor work, possess basic mechanical skills, and be eager to learn new techniques in landscape maintenance and construction.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine lawn care services on commercial & residential properties (mowing, trimming, edging, etc.)
- Assist with landscape installation tasks, including grading, planting & watering
- Maintain gardens by pruning & weeding using hand tools and mechanical equipment
- Operate and maintain lawn care equipment
- Perform Winter sidewalk snow removal & ice control application
- Complete digital work documentation to company standards
- Ensure job sites are clean, safe, and organized
- Follow all safety procedures and company standards
Requirements:
- Valid Alberta Class 5 Driver’s License with a minimum of 3 years of insurable driving history
- Availability to work Morning/Day shifts Monday through Friday, with occasional weekend shifts
- Ability to work outdoors for approximately 8 hours per day
- Physically capable of lifting heavy loads and performing manual labour
- Experience with lawn care/sidewalk snow removal equipment operation and basic maintenance is an asset
- Strong work ethic and reliability
