Atlantic Evershine Ltd. is looking for a dependable and hardworking Full-Time Janitorial Cleaner to join our team.
Work Location: Industrial facility near the Halifax Stanfield International Airport
Position Details
- Schedule: Monday – Friday
- Hours: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
- Starting Wage: $25.00/hour
- Wage increases are available based on proven reliability, attendance, performance, initiative, and overall job performance.
Job Duties
- Perform industrial janitorial and facility cleaning duties.
- Clean production areas, shop floors, washrooms, lunchrooms, offices, and common areas.
- Safely clean and dispose of industrial substances, including oil, coolant, Isopar, and other approved chemicals, in accordance with company procedures.
- Operate cleaning equipment and maintain a clean, safe work environment.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
Requirements
- Reliable transportation is required. This position is located near the Halifax Stanfield International Airport, and public transit is not a reliable option.
- WHMIS Certification (required – training can be provided).
- Clean Criminal Record Check (required).
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and safe handling procedures.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physically capable of standing, walking, bending, lifting, and performing cleaning duties throughout the shift.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail.
Required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
Employees must be willing and able to wear:
- Steel-toe safety boots
- Safety glasses
- Hearing protection (when required)
- Any additional PPE required for specific tasks.
