Job duties
- Assist lead carpenters with tasks as required
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine specifications and calculate requirements
- Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems
- Fit and install trim items, such as doors, stairs, moulding and hardware
- Supervise apprentices and other construction workers
- Drywall Repair
- General Carpentry Rough and Finish
- Kitchen & Bathrooms
- Painting Interior and Exterior
- Flooring repair and installation
- Knowledge of Building Codes
- Material Management
- Minor Plumbing and Minor Electrical Knowledge considered an asset
Requirements
- 1-2 years in Carpentry, woodworking, or a related field
- Access to a vehicle and a valid Drivers’ license
- Personal hand tools
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Apprenticeship
Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
