Job Title: Cook
Job Summary: We are looking for a skilled and dedicated Cook to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about food, have excellent cooking skills, and work well in a fast-paced environment. As a Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking meals according to recipes, maintaining a clean and organized kitchen, and ensuring food safety standards are met.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook food items according to standardized recipes and instructions.
- Ensure all food is cooked, stored, and served at the appropriate temperature.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and food storage areas.
- Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
- Assist with food prep, including chopping, slicing, and measuring ingredients.
- Monitor inventory levels and inform management when supplies are running low.
- Ensure all kitchen equipment is used correctly and maintained.
- Work as part of a team to meet kitchen service demands in a timely manner.
- Handle food waste and portioning efficiently to minimize waste.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a cook or in a similar role in a kitchen environment.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
- Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes accurately.
- Ability to work well in a team and take direction from supervisors.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred (Culinary degree is a plus).
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for long periods of time.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 30 lbs.
Work Environment:
- Fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Potential for evening, weekend, and holiday shifts.
Job Types: Part-time, Seasonal
Pay: From $21.00 per hour

Experience:
- Cooking: 3 years (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
- Food Safe, SafeCheck, Food Handler or equivalent (preferred)
