Overview
Kingdom Kids Childcare Centre is seeking a passionate, dedicated, and faith-filled Level 3 Early Childhood Educator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education, a genuine love for working with young children, and a deep personal faith in Christ.
The successful candidate will help create a safe, nurturing, stimulating, and Christ-centred environment that supports the social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development of children. Our educators play an important role in encouraging children to learn through play, exploration, discovery, and meaningful relationships while helping them grow in their understanding of Christ.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities that align with early childhood education standards.
- Create and maintain a safe, engaging, inclusive, and nurturing environment for all children.
- Educate children through play-based learning activities that encourage exploration, creativity, and discovery.
- Support children's social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development.
- Communicate effectively and respectfully with children, parents, families, and colleagues to build strong relationships.
- Monitor and assess children's development and progress and provide appropriate feedback to parents.
- Maintain accurate records of children's activities, development, progress, and behaviour.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and other professionals to support children with diverse learning needs.
- Be flexible and willing to work with children of all ages, from 19 months to 12 years old.
- Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to strengthen teaching skills and knowledge.
- Demonstrate a commitment to providing quality childcare in a Christian, faith-based environment.
- Incorporate Christian values and teachings into daily interactions and age-appropriate learning experiences.
Requirements
The successful applicant must:
- Hold a valid Level 3 Early Childhood Educator Certificate.
- Have a minimum of 2 years of experience working with young children in a childcare or educational setting.
- Have a deep, personal faith in Jesus Christ and a passion for teaching children about Christ.
- Demonstrate a genuine love for children and a passion for supporting their growth and development.
- Have the ability to create an inclusive classroom environment that supports all learners.
- Be dependable, caring, patient, flexible, and able to work effectively as part of a team.
- Be comfortable working with children ranging in age from 19 months to 12 years old.
Hours of Work
7:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m., Monday to Friday
Educators must be flexible and may be required to work a split shift within the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 5:30 p.m., depending on the needs of the centre.
