Claire Place is a mobile veterinary service dedicated to providing compassionate end-of-life care for companion animals in the Ottawa-Gatineau region. We specialize in hospice and palliative care as well as gentle in-home euthanasia, ensuring pets spend their final moments in a familiar and comforting environment. Our mission is to support families through this difficult time with empathy, professionalism, and respect, offering guidance and care tailored to each pet’s unique needs.
Position Overview
We are seeking a compassionate Client Service Representative to work on a full-time basis. Shifts will involve weekends and statutory holidays. This is a 1-year maternity leave position with the possibility of an extension. You will work in a casual office environment with a team of in-person and virtual CSRs. Client interaction is over the phone or by email – no clients on site!
Key Responsibilities
- Communicate effectively and compassionately with clients over email and phone
- Maintain schedules for mobile teams of veterinarians and technicians
- Invoicing, estimates, payment processing
- Updating social media
- Continuing education on hospice, palliation and end-of-life care is encouraged
- Maintain accurate and thorough medical records
- Assist in patient care and transport post euthanasia
- Restock medical supplies, general housekeeping, laundry, etc
The ideal candidate would be highly skilled in office administration, have some experience in the veterinary profession, and be able to multi-task in a fast-paced, emotionally charged environment. But most importantly, have a love for animals and empathy for their grieving owners.

Qualifications and Skills

- 3+ years of customer service experience

Preferred
- 3+ years of experience in a veterinary environment
- Ability to assist with carrying a minimum of 25kg
