The Role: Job Title
In this role, you will spend most of your time installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting complex industrial machinery and mechanical systems to keep operations running at peak performance. You will work closely with Production, Maintenance, and Engineering teams, and be responsible for delivering reliable equipment performance, reduced downtime, and continuous operational efficiency. This role balances hands-on technical maintenance and rapid problem-solving with preventative maintenance and process improvement, providing clear expectations and measurable impact from day one.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.
- Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on production equipment.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics.
- Conduct routine inspections and ensure equipment operates at peak efficiency.
- Collaborate with production, and engineering teams to improve machine reliability and efficiency.
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Document maintenance activities and generate reports as required.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability.
- Comply with all regulatory requirements, including workplace safety and environmental policies.
What You’ll Bring
- Licensed Industrial Millwright (433A) in Ontario.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in an automotive or heavy manufacturing environment.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with expertise in hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors, and gear systems.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, blueprints, and technical manuals.
- Experience with welding, machining, and fabricating components is an asset.
- Knowledge of predictive maintenance tools such as vibration analysis and thermography.
- Basic understanding of electrical systems and PLC troubleshooting is an advantage.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
