Corporate/Store Trainer – Job Summary
The Store Trainer is responsible for supporting the successful opening of new restaurant locations and improving the performance of existing stores. The role focuses on training employees, ensuring compliance with company standards, conducting audits, and maintaining consistent operational excellence, customer service, and brand standards across all locations.
Key Responsibilities
- Train and onboard staff at new and existing restaurant locations.
- Act as the link between restaurant locations and the Training Department.
- Conduct store audits to ensure compliance with operational, food safety, cleanliness, branding, and customer service standards.
- Identify, document, and communicate areas of non-compliance and provide corrective guidance.
- Support the rollout of new products, procedures, and operational initiatives.
- Assist with new store openings and coordinate with different departments to ensure a smooth launch.
- Follow up with locations to ensure continuous improvement and adherence to company policies.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- 1–3 years of hospitality or restaurant management experience.
- 2–5 years of training experience, preferably in a multi-unit or franchise restaurant environment.
- Post-secondary education in a relevant field is an asset.
- Knowledge of provincial health and safety regulations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Self-motivated, adaptable, and able to learn quickly.
- Strong written and spoken English; additional languages are an asset.
- Passion for coaching, mentoring, and leading by example.
Working Conditions
- Flexible 8-hour shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Frequent travel to restaurant locations.
- Fast-paced environment with exposure to high temperatures.
- Requires standing for long periods and lifting up to 40 lbs.
