Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Office Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have experience in medical settings, possess strong organizational skills, and be proficient with electronic medical records systems. This role involves providing exceptional front desk support, managing patient interactions, and ensuring smooth clinic operations. Candidates with experience Telus / Accuro similar practice management software will be highly valued. Responsibilities
- Greet patients and visitors in a courteous and professional manner at the front desk
- Manage multi-line phone systems to schedule appointments, answer inquiries, and relay messages efficiently
- Verify patient information and update electronic medical records accurately using systems such as Epic and Dentrix
- Assist with check-in and check-out procedures, including collecting insurance information and payments
- Prepare patient charts and ensure all documentation complies with healthcare regulations
- Collaborate with clinical staff to coordinate patient appointments and follow-up care
- Maintain a clean, organized reception area and ensure office supplies are stocked
- Handle administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and processing correspondence related to patient care
Qualifications
- Prior experience in a Medical Office setting is preferred
- Proficiency with electronic medical records systems such as Telus / Accuro is highly desirable
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare office procedures
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
- Experience working with multi-line phone systems and handling high call volumes
- Ability to provide friendly, professional customer service in a fast-paced environment
- Office experience demonstrating administrative competence in healthcare settings is advantageous
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
- Prior experience managing front desk operations in a medical office is a plus
Pay: $20.00-$22.00 per hour
