Red Seal Sheet Metal Journeyperson | Residential HVAC Installer
Climatec is looking for an experienced Red Seal Sheet Metal Journeyperson to join our growing Residential Install team.
This is an opportunity for someone who enjoys installing complete HVAC systems, not just ductwork. You'll lead residential installation projects from start to finish, including retrofits, custom homes, renovations, and new construction. The ideal candidate is confident with sheet metal fabrication and installation, refrigeration piping, heat pumps, furnaces, air conditioners, and system commissioning.
Responsibilities
- Lead residential HVAC installation projects from start to finish
- Install and fabricate sheet metal ductwork to a high standard
- Install furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, HRVs, air handlers, and related equipment
- Complete refrigeration piping, pressure testing, evacuation, charging, and system startup
- Read and interpret drawings and installation specifications
- Maintain clean, organized, and professional job sites
- Ensure all work meets manufacturer specifications, applicable codes, and Climatec quality standards
- Coordinate with apprentices and other team members to keep projects running efficiently
- Communicate professionally with homeowners, builders, and project managers
Qualifications
- Red Seal Sheet Metal Journeyperson certification
- Experience installing residential HVAC systems
- Experience with refrigeration piping, brazing, evacuation, charging, and commissioning
- Valid Class 5 driver's licence with a clean driving record
- Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills
- Ability to work independently and lead installation projects
- Pride in producing clean, high quality workmanship
- Positive attitude and strong communication skills
