Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Laborer/Painter to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting various construction and restoration projects by preparing surfaces, applying paint, and assisting with general labor tasks. Your enthusiasm and strong work ethic will contribute to delivering high-quality results on residential, commercial, and industrial sites. Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, caulking, and masking to ensure optimal adhesion and finish quality
- Apply paint, primer, stains, and coatings using hand tools and power tools with precision and attention to detail
- Assist with rigging and setting up scaffolding or ladders to access work areas safely
- Read schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to understand project specifications and requirements
- Support carpentry tasks such as framing or minor repairs as needed on restoration or construction sites
- Operate hand tools and power tools efficiently while maintaining safety protocols at all times
- Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines while maintaining high standards of quality and safety
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and clients to ensure project expectations are met or exceeded
Experience
- Prior construction experience is highly preferred, especially in painting or restoration projects
- Knowledge of construction painting techniques for residential, commercial, and industrial settings
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately
- Experience with rigging, carpentry, caulking, and the use of hand tools and power tools
- Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills for effective teamwork and customer service interactions
- Familiarity with safety procedures related to working at heights or with industrial equipment is a plus
