Financial Aid Officers
We are seeking energetic, talented, and flexible individuals to join our ever growing team and manage promotional activities to establish our brand.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Meeting potential students to evaluate and explain various financial funding options.
- Explain and assist new and current students to apply for OSAP Loans as per the Ministry guidelines.
- Create financial plans for current and new students.
- Monitor student attendance and progress, and document them in the student’s financial file.
- Follow all Ministry guidelines and procedures relating to the administration of OSAP.
- Check for new updates from the OSAP portal regarding OSAP administration. Inform management about new updates and prepare a plan to implement any changes.
- Monitor day-to-day receivables.
- Ensure all student payment plans are up-to-date on the system.
- Collect money from students for tuition fees, supplemental exams, remediation, etc. Enter collections in the computer system and issue receipts.
- Prepare a daily collection report and submit it with cheques/cash/card receipts to finance.
- Reconcile any differences with collection and report.
- Close OSAP files for graduated students. Ensure that all documents are in file as per Ministry requirements.
- Prepare refund calculations for dropped or suspended students.
- Prepare documents and plan for yearly compliance audits.
- Ensure timely and successful completion of a compliance audit.
- Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Business Administration, Education, or related field.
- Minimum 3 years of demonstrated experience in student financial aid directly related to financial aid counselling, eligibility determination, and need analysis are preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to clearly express ideas in an objective manner, and adapt communication style to suit the situation and audience.
- Ability to interpret and explain regulatory information related to the financial aid process.
- Ability to analyse and present numerical data in tables, spreadsheets, and forms.
- Competency to maintain confidentiality and treat sensitive information with discretion.
- Ability to maintain a positive, outgoing attitude with genuine customer service orientation.

Pay: From $45,000.00 per year
