Associate Lawyer – Workplace Law
Watson Goepel LLP, a well-established multi-service law firm with over 40 years of experience, is growing. With more than 35 lawyers across our Vancouver and West Vancouver offices, we pride ourselves on fostering a collaborative, collegial, and supportive environment that empowers our team to succeed.
We are seeking a full-time Associate Lawyer to join our Workplace Law Group in our Downtown Vancouver office.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have:
- 1–3 years of post-call experience in employment law (2-4 year call); labour law experience is an asset
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills suited to a fast-paced employer-side practice
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to deliver practical, business-focused advice to clients
- Experience drafting employment agreements, workplace policies, and other employment-related documents
- Strong legal research and analytical skills
- A collaborative approach and an interest in participating in firm, community, social, and networking events
- The ability to work primarily from our office (this is not a hybrid or remote position)
- Membership in good standing with the Law Society of British Columbia; additional provincial calls are an asset

Compensation
Watson Goepel offers a competitive lockstep compensation model for associates during their first seven years of practice. Compensation is commensurate with year of call, experience, and qualifications, and includes eligibility for the firm's benefits and RRSP matching programs.

Offers of employment may be conditional upon the successful completion of background screening, which may include verification of employment history, professional credentials, and education.
