THE HOTEL:
Dual branded in the East Village of Calgary’s Downtown, our 198 room Hilton Garden Inn and 122 suite Homewood Suites, with 4,000 sq. ft. of naturally lit meeting space, restaurant, lounge, and indoor pool are adjacent to Calgary’s award winning Central Public Library, and one block Studio Bell. Conveniently located just one block from City Hall train station.
THE ROLE:
Dishwashers contribute to the overall success of the hotel by ensuring a clean and safe environment in the kitchen, and supporting an excellent guest experience by maintaining a consistent supply of clean wares for the dining room and cook line at all times. They assist the line cooks as needed with prep and plating.

KEY ACTIVITIES:
The duties and responsibilities for the Dishwasher include, but are not limited to the following:
· Wash and stock all wares including operating and maintaining the dish machine and pot area.
· Sort and rack all wares to prevent breakage.
· Assist in receiving product from suppliers and record any deficiencies.
· Assist cooks in food prep.
· Maintain cleanliness of back of house including floors, walls, ceiling, counters, shelves and storage rooms.
· Empty waste container and assist in ensuring streams are sorted correctly.
· Adhere to all health and safety guidelines and standards. Ensure good safety practices of employees and guests, assisting in the maintenance of proper emergency and security procedures.
COMPETENCIES WE ARE SEEKING:
· Ability to work flexible shifts (weekdays and weekends, evenings and holidays)
· Completion of High School, GED or equivalent.
· A natural tendency towards cleanliness and attention to detail.
· Clear verbal communication skills.
· Special consideration will be given to those who exhibit exemplary performance.
· Job requires consistent standing, and considerable walking, frequent and repetitive lifting, reaching, bending, stretching, pulling, pushing and twisting.
