At Living Well Home Medical Equipment, we believe everyone deserves the opportunity to live as independently and comfortably as possible. Every day, we help seniors and individuals with mobility challenges find solutions that improve their safety, confidence, and quality of life.
We're looking for an experienced, outgoing, and compassionate Outside Sales Consultant to join our Bowmanville team. If you enjoy building relationships, solving problems, and helping people make important decisions, this is an opportunity to build a rewarding career while making a genuine difference in your community.
About the Role
As an Outside Sales Consultant, you'll visit clients in their homes, retirement residences, long-term care homes, and healthcare facilities to assess their mobility needs and recommend equipment that helps them live more independently.
This isn't a high-pressure sales position. It's about listening, understanding each person's unique situation, and guiding them toward the solution that's right for them. Every successful recommendation has the potential to improve someone's daily life.
You'll also develop relationships with occupational therapists, physiotherapists, healthcare professionals, and community partners who trust Living Well to provide exceptional service and expert advice.
What You'll Be Doing
- Meet with clients in homes, retirement residences, and long-term care facilities
- Recommend wheelchairs, scooters, walkers, lift chairs, and other home medical equipment
- Provide knowledgeable, consultative sales focused on each client's individual needs
- Prepare quotations, explain funding options, and guide clients through the purchasing process
- Build strong relationships with therapists, caregivers, hospitals, and community partners
- Prospect for new business opportunities and maintain an active territory
- Work independently while contributing to a supportive team environment
- Assist with equipment setup, adjustments, and demonstrations when required
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who genuinely enjoys helping people and has a proven ability to build trust with customers.
Ideally, you'll have:
- 5+ years of successful sales experience (consultative or relationship-based sales preferred)
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Confidence working independently and managing your own schedule
- Excellent problem-solving abilities
- Good mechanical aptitude and comfort demonstrating or adjusting equipment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Outlook, and Excel
Experience in healthcare, mobility equipment, rehabilitation, kinesiology, OTA/PTA, or related fields is considered an asset but isn't required. If you're an experienced sales professional who enjoys learning and helping people, we'll provide comprehensive product training.

This is an active role that includes:
- Driving daily to client appointments using a company vehicle
- Lifting and carrying equipment up to 50 lbs.
- Assembling, adjusting, and demonstrating mobility equipment
- Working in homes, healthcare facilities, and community settings
