Position Title: Coating Operator
Overview
This position reports to the Saw and Coating Supervisor and is responsible for overseeing the Sandblasting, Painting, and Powder Coating processes. They must be able to balance workload between Gasket and Fabrication Department needs, as well as train all potential new Painters.
Work Performed:
- Read and understand Work Orders
- Understand and execute on technically-based Customer Paint and Sandblasting Specifications.
- Assist with purchasing Paint Supplies and the management of Paint Inventory
- Work under pressure within a fast-paced environment
- Train new Painters when required
- Assure the quality of all painted/powder-coated products
- Assist the Pre-Production Team with quoting of painted Fabrication Orders
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Forklift experience
- 3-5 years’ experience with industrial Paint/Powder Coatings
- Working knowledge of Fastener Coating Systems an asset
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the job (standing for long periods of time, heavy lifting and stacking up to 50 lbs)
First Year Deliverables:
Success in the first year will be determined by the Paint Lead’s ability to:
- Work safely under the Flexitallic Canada safety policies and procedures
- Execute on technically-based Paint Specifications as per Customer requirements
- Contribute to a Continuous Improvement Culture
- Maintain Workplace and Equipment to Flexitallic standards
Job Types: Temporary, Contract
Contract length: 3 months
Pay: $22.00-$25.00 per hour
