The Research Associate will manage the ethics application and compliance process for a research project. They will draft,edit and submit research ethics board applications, prepare all supporting materials (e.g. consent forms, recruitment scripts, study protocols), and maintain and organize ethics documentation. The role will track application timelines, renewal deadlines, and reporting requirements. They will coordinate project revisions in response to ethics board feedback, and will ensure all study activities remain compliant with approved protocols. The Research Associate will additionally be responsible for scheduling and organizing monthly team meetings. They will prepare agendas and meeting materials, and take detailed minutes on decisions and action items. The role will track follow-ups, ensure completion of assigned tasks, maintain shared calendars, and coordinate across team members.
Qualifications
Education:
- Master's degree in a relevant discipline; such as education; PhD in a relevant discipline preferred
Experience:
- 3 years' working experience in a related academic research environment
- Experience working in childcare or pedagogical settings is an asset

- Strong understanding of research ethics processes (REB/IRB protocols, consent procedures,
confidentiality requirements)
