Event Chefs – Part-Time / Casual

Yorkshire Pudding Inc. is looking for experienced, reliable Event Chefs to join our catering team for weddings, corporate events and private parties throughout the GTA.
This is a great position for cooks and chefs looking to pick up additional shifts alongside another job, school or other commitments. Shifts are offered based on our event schedule and your availability.
The Role
Our Event Chefs work on-site at venues and private homes throughout Toronto and the GTA. You'll be responsible for executing our menus on location and ensuring food is prepared, finished and presented to Yorkshire Pudding standards.
Event shifts are a minimum of 4 hours and vary depending on the size and location of the event.
What You'll Be Doing
- Travelling to event venues and private homes throughout the GTA
- Setting up and organizing on-site kitchen and food service areas
- Finishing, cooking and plating menu items according to provided instructions
- Managing food timing and coordinating with event staff
- Ensuring food quality, portioning and presentation standards are maintained
- Following safe food handling practices
- Keeping your workspace clean and organized
- Assisting with kitchen clean-up and pack-down at the end of events
What We're Looking For
- Professional cooking or catering experience
- Comfortable working independently and making decisions on-site
- Organized, calm and efficient in a fast-paced event environment
- Strong understanding of food safety and proper food handling
- Reliable and punctual
- Able to follow detailed event and menu instructions
- Comfortable interacting professionally with clients, venue staff and other event vendors
- Valid Food Handler Certification
- Reliable transportation and the ability to travel to events throughout the GTA
The Position
- Part-time / casual
- Event-based scheduling
- Minimum 4-hour shifts
- Shifts available throughout Toronto and the GTA, Niagara region and beyond
- Weekday, evening and weekend shifts available
- $30 per hour, plus gratuity, travel time (if applicable)
