THE ROLE
The purpose of the Estimator is to prepare accurate, competitive, and well-documented construction estimates and proposals that support Thorpe’s business objectives. Working closely with internal teams and external stakeholders, the Estimator plays a critical role in the pre‑construction process by assessing project scope, risks, and costs to support informed bidding and pricing decisions.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
● Attendance of on-site pre-bid meetings, able to measure up jobs needed for quotations
● Request pricing from subcontractors and vendors
● Identify risks, opportunities, and value engineering
● Maintain relationships with clients, consultants, and vendors
● Attend industry functions and courses
WHAT YOU NEED
● 3+ years experience in ICI roofing estimating (preferred)
● Strong knowledge of flat roofing systems, and cladding systems as per (RCABC requirements)
● Strong Self Starter attitude
● Valid driver licence

● Attention to detail: Produces accurate quantity takeoffs and cost estimates with a high level of precision and consistency.

● Time management: Effectively manages multiple estimates and deadlines in a fast-paced bid environment.
● Collaboration: Builds positive working relationships with internal teams, suppliers, and external stakeholders during pre‑construction.
● Continuous improvement: Shows a desire to learn, improve estimating processes, and adapt to new systems and trade scopes.
● Accountability: Takes ownership of assigned estimates and delivers reliable, well-supported submissions.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $75,000.00-$90,000.00 per year
