Title: Food and Beverage Manager
Reports To: Assistant General Manager & COO
The Food & Beverage Manager is responsible for planning and managing the Ontario Racquet Club’s Food and Beverage operations to facilitate the delivery of high quality food and beverages and exceptional customer service in collaboration with the Executive Chef. . This includes coordinating all Food and Beverage activities, shipping and receiving, supplies and compliance with all health regulations and general troubleshooting. The Food & Beverage Manager will also be responsible for all safety requirements related to the Club facilities and assets, and for the effective implementation of policy and procedures. Other duties will be assigned as necessary.

Job Duties
- Manages the administration of the Food and Beverage department and procedures in order to ensure departmental effectiveness and efficiency.
- Verifies and works to ensure a high standard of food and beverage quality and excellent customer services throughout the department.
- Collaborates with the Executive Chef on restaurant operations, service, events and menus
- Books and executes events.
- Manages Food and Beverage staff - includes hiring, scheduling, organizing, training, directing, and evaluating work performance.
- Oversees staffing for F&B operations
- Engages in regular coaching, performance management, and formal discipline as necessary.
- Oversees the completion of all payroll time-sheets for the department using a time and attendance program.
- Forecasts resources required to achieve objectives; approves and monitors expenditures within approved budget.
- Stays abreast of current trends and developments in Food and Beverage industry.
- Attends executive team meetings
- Ensures the office facilities are in compliance with safety regulations, such as local fire codes, handicap access, other laws.
- Communicates the organization's safety policies in accordance with applicable federal safety standards and local laws.
- Collaborates with inventory planning personnel to minimize shortages and improve inventory holdings.
- Monitors inbound/outbound shipping and receiving.
- Performs other duties as required.
Requirements
- Post secondary degree/diploma in a relevant discipline.
- 3+ years of direct work experience in a Food and Beverage management capacity. - Previous Club experience is an asset
- Advanced knowledge of computer applications, including but not limited to Microsoft Office, inventory control and POS systems. (Silverware)
- Smart Serve certified
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, supervisory and leadership skills.
- Ability to foster effective working relationships with peers, members, subordinates, tenants, clients, government officials and other external contacts.
- Ability to function independently and under pressure and ability to manage various projects at the same time.
- Strong planning, organizational, analytical and administrative skills.
- Knowledge of supplies, equipment, and/or services ordering, as well as inventory control of these items.
- Knowledge of local and federal regulations and ordinances
- Good financial and business awareness.
- Strong written and verbal skills to communicate with all levels of the organization and its executive team.

Pay: $70,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
