We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Package Handler / Sorter to join our early-morning warehouse team. The successful candidate will be responsible for unloading, sorting, organizing, scanning, and preparing packages for delivery.
This is a permanent part-time position that requires availability for early-morning shifts, six days per week. The ideal candidate is punctual, physically capable, safety-conscious, and comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Unload packages and shipments from delivery vehicles and trailers.
- Sort packages accurately according to delivery routes and assigned areas.
- Scan and label packages using handheld scanning equipment.
- Organize packages in designated warehouse and staging areas.
- Identify and report damaged, missing, or incorrectly labelled packages.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Follow all workplace health and safety procedures.
- Work efficiently with warehouse staff, drivers, and supervisors.
- Complete other warehouse-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Must be available to work from approximately 4:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m., six days per week.
- Reliable transportation to the warehouse is required, as public transit may not be available during early-morning hours.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and move packages weighing up to approximately 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive physical tasks throughout the shift.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to sort packages accurately.
- Dependable, punctual, and committed to maintaining regular attendance.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced and physically active environment.
- Previous warehouse, package-handling, shipping, receiving, or logistics experience is an asset but not required.
