Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Finishing Operator to join our Civil Construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for completing and refining products through various finishing processes, ensuring high-quality standards are met. This role requires proficiency in machining, assembly, and quality control, with a strong understanding of manufacturing equipment and technical drawings.
- Perform excavation, trenching, grading, and material handling.
- Work with pipe crews, grade crews, and blasting teams.
- Conduct daily inspections and minor maintenance.
- Maintain safe operation around personnel and utilities.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues in heavy and industrial equipment
- Perform routine and preventative maintenance to ensure optimal equipment performance
- Read and interpret schematics, manuals, and technical drawings
- Assemble and disassemble components for repair, maintenance, or upgrades
- Safely operate power tools and shop equipment
- Perform heavy lifting and handling of equipment components as required
- Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance activities, and parts usage
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of work
- Adhere to all company safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
- Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders regarding equipment condition and repair needs
Qualifications & Requirements
- Minimum 4 years’ experience operating heavy equipment in a construction or civil environment (preferred)
- past experience with finishing with an Excavator
Pay: $28.00-$34.00 per hour
