Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Industrial Painter to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for applying protective and decorative coatings to various industrial equipment and components. This role requires attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work safely in a fast-paced environment. The Industrial Painter plays a vital part in ensuring the durability and quality of our products, contributing to overall efficiency and excellence.
Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and masking as needed
- Operate spray guns, brushes, rollers, and other hand tools to apply paint or coatings accurately
- Use power tools when necessary for surface preparation or repairs
- Follow safety protocols including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Perform quality checks on finished surfaces to ensure proper coverage and adherence to specifications
- Maintain a clean work environment by properly storing tools and disposing of waste materials
- Assist with assembly or machining tasks as required within the manufacturing process
Skills
- Mechanical knowledge with experience using hand tools, and power tools
- Knowledge and experience using airless spray equipment and pressure pots a MUST
- Ability to spray per mil requirements
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations during surface preparation and coating application
- Knowledge of safety standards related to industrial painting and equipment operation
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced production setting
