About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Office Administrator / Yard Coordinator to support daily operations at a busy industrial yard near Millet, Alberta. This role combines office administration with coordination of yard activities, ensuring smooth communication and accurate inventory tracking.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and update inventory records (incoming and outgoing materials)
- Coordinate with yard staff on shipments, deliveries, and stock levels
- Answer phone calls and respond to emails in a professional manner
- Prepare basic reports, logs, and documentation
- Assist with scheduling trucks and coordinating pickups/deliveries
- Support general office administration and data entry
- Ensure accurate record-keeping and filing
- Communicate with drivers, vendors, and internal team members
Qualifications
- Previous administrative, office, or logistics experience preferred
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Good communication skills (phone, email, in-person)
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and basic computer systems
- Experience with inventory tracking or logistics coordination is an asset
- Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment
- Reliable transportation (location is not transit-accessible)
Compensation
- Overtime pay available if required
